Multi-Level Kripalu Yoga and Metta (Loving Kindness) Meditation with Guylaine Lanthier
In this workshop/class you will learn about the practice of Kripalu Yoga and Metta (Loving Kindness) Meditation.
The workshop/class will consist of a centering, which will include Pranayama (breath work) followed by Asanas (postures), Metta Meditation and will conclude with an extended relaxation.
This will be a multi-level class. Thus you can adapt the class level to your needs. I will offer options and modifications to practice either a gentle or moderate Kripalu Yoga class.
What is Kripalu Yoga?
It is a Hatha yoga practice with a compassionate approach. It encourages you to move at your own pace, with self-acceptance and adaptability. It also places emphasis on physical healing and spiritual transformation.
What is Metta Meditation?
It originates from the Buddhist tradition and is performed by repeating a positive phrase evoking tenderness and a warm hearted feeling.
To reteach a thing its loveliness is the nature of metta. Through loving kindness everyone and everything can flower again from within. Sharon Salzberg.
